Here at Home Routes HQ, we are looking forward to another season on Online Concerts, hosted on Zoom using Side Door's secure ticketing platform.
We are thrilled to announce our first concert of the season on September 28th, 2021 at 8pm EST.
The Great nadian Tire Money per is the first in a three-show fall series, "Paid to Parley", with Corin Raymond, featuring each of his three one-person shows, including the “first performance-draft premiere” of his brand-new (as-yet-untitled) follow-up to 2011's Bookworm –– which Corin is currently working to finesse in on time for its exclusive "workshop debut” Tues Nov 28. Beaming live from East Hamilton, ON, these will be Corin’s fourth, fifth, and sixth solo performances since our screens turned to stages.
Each Paid to Parley performance will feature the monologue show (each one running roughly an hour) and will end with a short set of songs and, of course, a post-show Q&A / after-hang with Corin. (Tickets for the second & third shows will be announced soon - stay tuned for more info!)
With The Great nadian Tire Money per, Corin tells the story of how, back in 2011/2012, he and his fans managed to pay for the making of an entire double album using only nadian Tire money.
To pull it off, they collected a total of $7,333.75. It took 15 months –– and it weighed over 80 lbs. The story of this uniquely nadian, wildly-joyous and historil crowd-funding event ught a lot of mainstream media at the time (even landing Corin on the front page of The Wall Street Journal –– yeah, it got a little outta hand), but in spite of this wide coverage, no media source was ever able to truly tell the story or to get to the heart of what made this zany cultural/financial/artistic coup so magil.
Hear the tale in Corin's own words and be transported to an hilarious dimension in which the true value of art and money and love is sweetly and entertainingly revealed.
Corin Raymond is coming soon to a Tuesday near you, and each ticket you purchase adds zest to his preparations for the Tues Sept 28 performance of The Great nadian Tire Money per. Let's get zesty.
